According to USA Today, a report by the National Retail Federation's Shop.org, found that apparel, accessories and footwear sales hit $18.3 billion in 2006, while computers sales grossed $17.2 billion. Fairly close, but what's unique is this growing trend of online shopping for shoes and clothes, as approximately 10 percent of all clothing sales occurred online this year.
This may not be a big shocker to most of you, since we all know how easy and convenient online shopping has become. When I asked geeksugar readers why they like shopping online, a majority of you said that you make online purchases because it's fun and easy. I definitely second that!

I'm not surprised, I've been shopping online a lot more often over the past couple years.
1Me too. It's so easier and much better than waiting in line at the stores or fighting for a parking space!
2It's super easy, convenient, fast, and I don't have to deal with pushy sales people. I love online shopping!
3I love shopping online, I've been doing it for years. I remember the Christmas my daughter was born (2001) I did all my shopping online and every single friend of mine thought I was insane. Now they all do it and ask me where to go LOL .
4I have done a lot of online shopping, but never for clothes. I have ordered a few things and they always come either two small or they look different than online. And when I return them, I have a hard time getting the new item.
I like to stick to real live stores for my clothing.
5Everyone has a computer and the internet, and now we all know how to shop! Of course, I don't buy my clothes online. I like to try things on.
6do shoes count in there? I'd be lost without zappos.com
