You know the pleasure you get when you add a colorful new theme to your iGoogle page? OK, multiply that by 1,000, and I give you the sleek new themes for Gmail. Just launched today, there are already 30 different themes to choose from — ranging from nature themes to shiny and chrome-style themes. Google has given Gmail a little makeover with crisper and cleaner lines (it reminds me of Google reader). To spice up your email, go to the themes section in settings and you should see the new themes. And if you don't see them, keep checking back and they should appear sometime within the next few days!

6My co-worker doesn't have the themes in her settings yet. Keep checking back. Google said everyone should have access to the themes in the next couple of days!

11Which one has the giraffe that is pictured above? I went through all of the ones available in my "themes" tab, and I saw no giraffe

20you know whats waaay better than that? I use the firefox addon: Google Redesigned. It gives a skin to everything, gmail, you calender, and it looks way better than these themes.

24I just logged into GMail a few minutes ago and was so confused! lol At first I thought I'd clicked on G. Reader at first but then I realized they switched things up. Now I have the candy theme
Later I'll probably end up with the Cherry Blossoms, to remind me of DC.

26I have the tree one that changes based on the weather in your area. Since I'm in Chicagoland I've got a pretty, subtle snow setting!
27The beach one is great because it changes depending on your time zone. A sunset in your time zone is reflected. Also, I felt it wasn't too distracting in the least
