I think if you read this site, then you know that plain black sporty-looking nylon just will not do to tote around my gadgets. I've found chic cases for my cell phones, my laptop, and my iPod, but I have had a heck of a time trying to find a bag for my DSLR.
It's over now — Acme Made has introduced their $40 SLR Bowler Camera Bag, which is cute in its own right, but I seriously love that it's not obviously a camera bag. That makes me feel safer traveling on public transportation with it, but at the same time, check it out — it fits in there perfectly and even has side pockets for your memory cards. Consider my Christmas list started.

the link doesn't work.
1The only thing that would make this bag *perfect* would be a shoulder strap.
2too bad it doesnt come in other colors...red goes with barely anything in my natural colored wardrobe...id still get it though, i need a better bag
3on one of the pictures, it looks like there is a strap?
4i prefer the jill-e bags they hold much more, i mean people with DSLR also have lenses to carry.
5I do love it! I too think it would be safer, I've always stuff my camera bag inside another bag to camo it. Great idea!
6Cute! But yeah, the link doesn't work. Actually, the prob is with Acme's website. I wonder if it's leather?
7If there is a strap, this is on my Christmas list!
8Cute!
9I emailed and got this response:
Thank you for your interest in our Acme Made products!
Unfortunately, a strap for the Bowler bag is not currently available. However, we do currently have a strap in development and hope to have it available and sold separately sometime early next year! If you just can’t wait, you can buy it separately then!
10Oooh thanks!!!
11what about for the other lenses?
12My favorite bag to lug around my camera and lens in is REI's Nikole bag. It's not an actual camera bag (which I like when traveling) and it fits all of my other stuff I need, too. I took it to Italy and Switzerland and it worked perfectly. I always felt that my camera was safe because I could carry it across my body in the front and the zipper was right there for easy and quick access.
