I recently highlighted Serena's brand-new cell phone for this season, the black LG Venus. But it looks like you just gotta give this girl a couple of episodes, and she's down at the Verizon store, upgrading that thing. Maybe she was taking a cue from Blair, who carries a maroon LG eNV2, and likes adding color to her wardrobe — the new cell is cherry red.
That's not all that's saucy about it; it's the Samsung FlipShot ($170 after discounts), which boasts a 3-megapixel camera (the iPhone's is 2-megapixels) — my fave feature. You can also record video and give black and white effects to your cameraphone photos with the FlipShot — maybe she's trying to be more arty like her new beau?
On that note, do you think Serena upgraded or downgraded (I meant about the phones, but opinions about the old vs. new boyfriend are certainly welcome too)?!

Oh, she totally downgraded. The new guys is a complete scumbag; poor Serena is just looking for someone to take care of her. The "old" Serena would have totally gone for this guy but not now. I want Dan back!!
1I don't know. I like the venus but not the keyboard and I don't like flip phones. I would've kept the venus.
2Downgraded. I have a Samsung flip phone now, and I definitely won't buy another flip phone when this one breaks. It's so annoying having to flip it open to answer it. I might still buy Samsung next time, though. But it'll have to be a nice slider or touchscreen one.
Oh, yeah, and she also downgraded on the boyfriend. This guy is like a sleazier version of Dan. At least Dan was never like "Why can't you be less uptight and let me date 15 other people?" What a douchebag. At least have the balls to tell her right away that you're dating around the first time she was upfront with you about seeing you with your other "friends". Instead it's like "Oh, by the way, forget my lies about being just friends with the other girls - I always dated around and I intend to keep on dating around, you're totally high school if you can't get over it" after lying and manipulating her into thinking she's the only one who's not "just a friend". I hope Blair gets a chance to take him down a few pegs for her BFF.
3The enV2 is the best option! I wish the color were a little brighter, more on the red side, but it's still the best phone!
4Aaron was nowhere near as sleazy in the books. He was more like the way Dan is on the show, actually. Dan was kind of creepy in the books, what with his singleminded obsession with Serena.
ITA that the show's Serena downgraded in both cell phone and boyfriend. The Flipshot is a good camera phone, but everything else is merely meh. She was better off with the Venus.

6Duh?! Serena has completely lost it...and I MISS DAN! Thankfully he's Serena's BF off-screen. I'm not really sure what I think of Aaron, other than he's not good looking whatsoever, and he's not treating Serena how she deserves to be treated. I'll be here for her when she figures it all out...that's what friends are for, right?!

I was kinda sad that the TV Aaron was so much different from the Book Aaron, the book Aaron was a nice guy.
