Wow, really? That's crazy. I didn't even know they were even near going bankrupt. I hope they stay. I actually prefer them over Best Buy.
1I'm definitely going to have to come up with some funds really quick! $199 is crazy... my brother's been dying for an XBox 360 for the longest.
2Let's not lose sight of the fact that Circuit City has been getting hammered for years. Best Buy offers better pricing, selection and service in a physical store and Internet stores offer infinite selection and better prices. This is just another example of a bad company that can't survive a downturn.

3I work for Best Buy, but I feel terrible for all the people who lost jobs right before the holidays. It's terrible.
4i so want the 360 and rockband! i forsee a purchase coming on!
5The Circuit City here is closing down... I went by expecting to find some bargins, but alas, not really. Maybe when they get closer to their closing date they will have some better deals. I hate to see Circuit City go though... we really don't have much in the way of an electronics store anymore.
6Great...so what does this mean for my two year extended warranty on my laptop???
So sad, but I'm not surprised.
7They will proabably sell the plan off to the insurance company that underwrites the warranty. You should call customer service to find out.
