Try this one on for size. So now that RIM's BlackBerry Bold has made its big bold debut, everyone is anxiously awaiting a release date for their next smartphone — the BlackBerry Storm.
Turns out, the Storm will not arrive by its expected Nov. 14 launch date, and has been delayed due to a software glitch; you can expect it by the end of the month. And the rumored $499 price tag? Scratch that one out the door too. Tipsters are claiming that RIM is feeling the need to compete with the iPhone on this one, therefore dropping the price to $199 with a two-year contract.
And not only that, but it's my feeling that with this new price, the Storm will not only give the iPhone a run for its money, but T-Mobile's G1 as well, since the G1 currently costs $180.

1it sucks that everybody does that whole one company thing.
$500?! would people really pay that much?...for a phone?! (i know they would) but it's nice they dropped the price.

3There is no glitch in the equipment i know a guy that works for verizon and he told me the reason they are holding off releasing it is because they want to build up the stock quantity he also told me it should be released this week.
4I am so excited for this phone to come out!! I've been waiting for Verizon to come out with something that could compare with the iPhone. I'm getting one as soon as it comes out!
5I can't wait to try it out. A smartphone is on my xmas list, and I want to know whether or not I'm prepared to ditch Verizon for the touch phone of my dreams. So far all of the iPhone competition has been pretty disappointing in the usability dept (imho).

8Ive heard many different dates, but the bestbuy people told me the most likely date is the 16th or 17th. Otherwise they said 21st. It will hopefully be here by the end of November.

14when i saw the commercial for it. i was impressed by this phone because you can feel the keys. i'm excited for it but i have one more year with verizon before i can sign another 2 year contract. most likely, i won't get this phone in a year.
