I don't know if I could ever be as comfortable displaying my mess of cords like the apartment dweller in this admittedly breathtaking photo from Desire to Inspire, but I'm definitely less anal about having visible cables running from my beloved tech to my outlets.

You can try and try to hide and gather your cords, but at some point, you have to become all Zen about it and say, "I have visible cords and that's fine." Trust me, you'll sleep better. How do you feel about your cord mess?

ugh i HATE mine... but the BF installed everything when we first moved in and now its a big tangled mess............... so if i wanted to fix it, i'd have to restart everything! so its not even worth it at this point. i'm still trying to figure out a screen or something to block it from view. any ideas?
1I hate having to deal with cordage...my furniture and the placement of power outlets don't allow for much organization when it comes to my cordage.
I've heard of some pretty cool cheap things to organize cord clutter:
1. color-coded toilet paper rolls
2. big colorful twist ties
3. ribbons! (they're pretty creative and make the room look nice)
There's also cord organizer contraptions available...but they just make me more confused!
2I hate cords everywhere! Drives me bonkers. I have all of my computer cables wrapped up in a little bundle... Not very pretty, but it keeps them out of the way for now.
3i would just try to cover up the one by the hanging light. Either put a picture there or make the cord white and run it up and along the wall and over that mantle. The computer cords i don't worry about so much
4I think I would embrace it more if I had a stark style like in the photo, but my decor is more quirky, so I like to hide the high tech as much as possible. I finally found a solution I like: a basket under the desk with all the coiled cords.
5I don't mind seeing the cords. Although I would like to implement some kind of system to label all the cords so I'll know what they go to.
6I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that the more gadgets you have, the bigger the cord mess will be. However, I am happy to say that mine is no longer as messy as it once was.
7I don't have much of a cord mess, I hide a lot of mine in my bedroom (where all my gadgets live!) under the bed, because most of mine are on my bedside table (laptop, iPhone, big clunky DSLR battery charger, etc.)
8I *have* to hide all my cords. I have installed little clippy things on the backs of the desks to wind the cord around and insist on having only the "needed" cord(s) showing. I have cords bundled under my TV stand base to hide the mess, and I zip tie or band the cords when possible.
9I am super OCD when it comes to cable management.
I really hate mine. I learned to hate it even more when our dog was still a puppy
10I hate mine! There are just so many that even when I try to control them they get worse!!
11I can't embrace. I have to bind them together behind the entertainment set with those plastic tie thingys (can't think of the actual name right now). If I run a cord through the house, it either goes under a run or is run along a wall or something so I can disguse it. Plus, if I don't make an effort to hide cords when running them through the house, my clumsy self will trip on them.
12I like my messy cords
They're an organized mess, which makes it ok
I can't stand them though when they get all balled up and look like a rats nest.
