BlackBerry makers Reasearch In Motion have introduced the BlackBerry Curve smartphone, which is apparently the smallest and lightest full QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone on the market. I don't think I'm ready to upgrade from the Pearl, but the Curve does look pretty in these ads. "With it's smooth and friendly design encompassing a large display, easy-to-use keyboard and intuitive trackball navigation system, this powerful new smartphone makes it easy to stay connected to the people and information that matter most," says BlackBerry. Here's more:
"The BlackBerry Curve offers a unique blend of communications, multimedia and web features to provide people with an exceptional mobile companion for both work and leisure," said Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO at RIM. "The BlackBerry Curve delivers RIM's industry leading email and messaging capabilities in a highly approachable smartphone design that is packed with consumer-friendly features including a 2 megapixel camera, enhanced media player and high-performance browser."

That is a great looking phone - but the problem is most cell phone carriers don't carry that phone in your area. Usually you are stuck with what you can get.
1i have already reserved mine!!! the curve [aka 8800/8830] is gorgeous!!! i can't wait for the 14th when they're released online!!!
2Cool - I hope that this one's available when it's time to upgrade from my 8700c!
3I want one too! It looks yummy.
4It looks really hot. I hope that Verizon will carry it.
5It doesn't matter whether or not your GMS carrier has the phone! You can buy them all over unlocked so that you can use them on any GSM carrier. Sorry Verizon users, you'll probably not see it since Verizon isn't GSM.
6if you have verizon service, pretty much what i am doing [and what i was referring to in my first comment] is that verizon is coming out with [mid may] the 8830 for verizon.... the only real obvious difference between the curve and the 8830 is lack of camera and the 8830 is silver [but you can buy the black skin off the website]. if you can do without the camera... then get the 8830. they have the same dimensions and features [minus the camera].

compare it.
7Uh huh. I wantwantwant the motorola Ming.
8Another phone that is marketed towards girls---YAY, that's the good news! It's neat to see that there is an obvious demand. Except....it doesn't interest me too much. Even though it probably has better software, there's nothing about it too different from my Pearl. I like my Pearl because it is small
9I am absolutely in love with this phone! I want it! I want it! I want it! I want it!
10Have this phone and freak about it. Absolute beauty!
