These aren't the first iPod jewelry items I've ever seen, but they certainly invoke the most questions. While some i-jewelry plays off the chic side of headphones and gadgetry, designer Ashley Gehman's iArtifact project features non-functional iPod ear buds as silver jewelry. To me it feels like a giant dose of extreme i-crazy and dare I say it, tacky tech art? I appreciate the geek factor, but the last thing I want in my earring holes are thick, cold silver earbud molds.

I wouldn't wear those.
1I totally pressed the wrong button when I voted but there is no way I would go out in public with those.
2the idea is clever, but it's not terribly cute.
3Agreed, wrtrgrl.
4I would only wear that if I were an iPod for Halloween
5Totally geeky geek. If I saw you wearing them I would make you take them off.
6Yuck-a-roo! Don't they disguise earbuds to look like earrings? Why reverse it?!?!
"Party like a rock star, pound like a porn star, play like an all star!"
7i agree with wrtrgrl the idea is cute, but the actual earrings aren't cute
