You know how I feel about using your laptop in goofball ways when you're at home, but with today's sense of urgency, you want to use your computer any way and anywhere you can. I'll never stop advocating beautiful desks, but sometimes you want something different. Check out an Apartment Therapy reader's place, where she brilliantly subbed in a wall-mounted bookshelf to hold her desktop.

Her iMac looks comfortably accessible and her desk's footprint? Nonexistent! Tell me, do you have a creative computer desk situation at home?

Not at all. I have a regular ol' oak desk for my PC desktop and when I use my laptop I can be found anywhere: couch, bed, dinner table, school, restaurants...
1I don't even use a desk. Wherever I am I just put it on my lap. We have chargers hidden around the house in the places we use most often.
2The thing is, the computer is easy. But what do you do about the printer, the scanner, the modem, the router, the speakers, the external hard drives, the remote control dongle, the PDA base, the VCR and the PS2 that are plugged into it?
I've got peripheral overload.
3I like it because I have so many books and the space will definitely be put to good use, but I would prefer something with drawers under the desk part to hide away cords and supplies.
4I think it looks wicked cool!
