I really could have used Gmail's new Mail Goggles feature back in college. Not only was I partaking a little more of the alcoholic beverages, but I was also more apt to know the math questions it's supposed to ask you when you try to send an email late at night.

The issues we face, as drinking geeks, are so much harder than our parents' generation. Not only do we have to exercise caution before emailing someone under the influence, there's the danger of drunken texts, Twitters, and the evergreen drunk dial.
My boozy life only really gets as crazy as checking out things like the Beer USB Drive anymore, so entertain me. Have you ever been the sender or recipient of a drunken email? What were the consequences?

drunk emailing, facebooking, texting, dialing...everything. im in college, dude.
1I've never emailed while drunk. I'm not old enough to drink anyways. I'm 20. Even when I become 21 I wouldn't do it.
2I've never emailed while drunk, however I have drunk-facestalked, texted, and dialed
3I received what were suspiciously drunken e-mails and texts by my ex-boyfriend. They were poorly written and he said things he wouldn't have said under normal circumstances. I'm not much of a drinker, so I haven't sent any drunken e-mails/texts. I have, however, sent things I wish I hadn't and regretted the second after I clicked on SEND.
4Lol! I have! I was round a friend's house one night and we were drinking (copious amounts of alcohol) but I had to be up early the next morning so I went home. When I got back I thought it would be a good idea to email him...
...I cringe whenever I stumble upon the email when looking through my sent items.
5LOL! NO but I have def drunk-popsugared!! Talk about fuuuun!
6It definitely depends what's on hand: if my Blackberry is with me, somehow I'll get into my Gmail.
I wonder if this will work on my BB though.
7I'm in college as well but I don't drunk dial or e-mail.
8I do drunk text but not very much - it's usually something like last St. Paddys day when I got pizza on my shirt and texted everyone about it.
I know a guy who used to drunk IM me constantly
I've drunk ebayed and drunk internet shopped
I don't drink, b*tches
9No but friends have texted me when they're drunk.
10I have a blog and I'll tell ya...never drink and post. Posts become maudlin and uber personal in a hurry!
11i think they need to come up with something similar for cell phones.. not so much for drunk-emailing
12I've been on the sending and receiving end of drunken/otherwise inebriated texts, calls, and e-mails. Nothing too harmful, although my boyfriend from high school did manage to find me on Myspace and send me some mildly racy stuff, and I suspect he was intoxicated on something while doing so.
13No never have. But I also don't get why google feels they need to take a stand and try to stop drunk e-mailing...? I think it's kind of funny in a terribly sad way that is.
14I think I've done it all, but I am definitely more prone to drunk texting. Thankfully I haven't gotten into too much trouble... yet.
15I've never sent a drunk e-mail, but I've received plenty of them. I have, however, e-mailed in my sleep.
16I've never emailed while drunk but this wouldn't work for me. I'm actually a lot quicker at math problems when I'm drunk.
17I've drunk commented on the sugar sites. Maybe you guys could do this on here so I don't get in fights with the lilsugar comment trolls
I'm fine any time of the day but you get a couple glasses of wine in me and off I go...
18This is hilarious. And I'm very bad at math, so this would definitely work in my case.
19No- usually if im drinking that heavily, I'm not at a computer anyway...but that's hilarious that Gmail is doing that.
20drunk texting, dialing, emailing, facebooking, forum posting - done it all.
21not much of an drunk emailer but def a drunk texter
22I'm a victim a drunk emailling, calling, and terrorism texting.... haha...
23Done it all over the years - now when I get the urge, I just go to sleep. Definite deal breaker.
