Katherine Heigl recently told US Weekly that she didn't know her own phone number; "It's all in my iPhone!" she explained.
While a few years ago, I would have thought that was crazy, I have to admit that I actually don't know my work phone number or my house line. My excuse is the same as Katie's; I may not know them off the top of my head, but they're in my cell phone.
These days, I only know a handful of phone numbers by heart, like my main cell phone, my boyfriend's cell, and my mom's house line (because it was my phone number for years). I'm always trying to memorize more phone numbers for emergency situations, but I'll always think of my cell phone's contact list as a crutch. What about you?

I am a walking Rolodex(you remember those?). I even remember old phone numbers of exes and old houses. But eventually they fade out like a bad dream.
1I've never forgotten my cell phone number but I've forgotten my work number several times.
The only phone numbers I have committed to memory are my boyfriends cell, my mom's cell and my mom's home number (only because I grew up there).
2I once had a car emergency and phoned my brother-in-law for advice. He told me to hang up and he'd call me back...and asked for my cell phone number. After a few seconds, I sheepishly asked if it was okay if I called him back, because I had no clue what the number was.
3I (mainly) know clients pho numbers, alarm codes, my numbers, and everything else off the top of my head. However, if you ask me in a crunch...i so have to look at my cell contacts. And some people no matter how hard i try i cannot remember their number!
4I try to memorize numbers I use a lot. What happens if you lose your phone? Even if you sync your phone with your computer, you might need one of the numbers before you can get back to your computer.
5I know my cell number, my boyfriend's, my sister's, brother's and my mother's cell. The other numbers I have to look them up on my iPhone. I never seem to remember my father's cell phone number, and I call him plenty of times.

After the last time I changed my cell number I have forgotten my number numerous times! Actually I couldn't tell you it now if you asked.

It's just so easy to keep it the
same when no one else has it anyway. Visa is the hardest one to remember.
10The only time I ever forgot my number (Transposed the numbers actually) is when I had just got it. Even then it was only for a few days.
11I know my home and cell number. But I never remember the numbers of my family's cells or my own work number. That's what the speed dial on your cell is for! lol

13The only time you'll ever hear me say I don't know or forgot something is because of my memory, not because I depend on technology to bring me to life everyday.
14It is important to always know your Mother's phone number, she is indispensable.
15Yes. It's very embarassing. Especially when you don't know how to check your number on your phone, so on top of not knowing your own number, you're now spending what feels like hours fumbling through the menus on your phone.
16I'll admit that I've forgotten mine before. I just had my home number changed because I recently moved, and I forgot it two days ago.

I always use my cell phone as a crutch and one time my cell phone was dead and i needed a number out of my contact lists and I was stuck so i've tried to start memorizing most of the numbers in my phone!

21I make sure I remember the important ones (home, parents', bf's, work) including mine. Cellphones do get lost so I don't rely on them that much.
22I know mine but it sometimes take a bit for me to remember it. I know my bf's, one of my sister's, and my house number cuz its been the same for 8 years. other than that I should learn my other sister's and brother's. lol
23I know mine but sometimes I mix it up with my home number (as in, my home where my parents live, I don't even have a home phone in my apt!).
I also remember numbers that I used to call a lot in high school pre-cell phones... my high school boyfriend's home number, the number to the Domino's Pizza and the thai takeout place, most of my HS friends' numbers... it's pretty sad that I know all those but not my boyfriend's cell!
It's on my iPod AND my phone and I figure I'm never without ONE of them, right? Oh the state of the world...
24I do know my phone but when I moved to SoCal for college and needed to call home, I had no idea what the number was. So sad!
25I know mine and its pretty easy to remember but I used to work for a cell phone co. and you wouldn't believe the amount of ppl who would when asked their cell # would reply "I don't know. I don't call myself."
