I love DLO products, I have a set of jackets and end cap/lanyards for my old shuffle.
I wish I had a second gen. nano instead of first because those look perfect. I always have the cord wrapped and this would be a much better way of keeping it out of my way.

2Get those new headphones! The apple-issued ones have AWFUL sound quality. Any Sony in most any cost range would be a MAJOR improvement.
