My BFF and I were having dinner Monday night and our topic turned to the fact that she is going to have to move out of her beautiful apartment soon and is worried she will never find a place with such ample closets and a cool claw-foot tub - both strict requirements for San Francisco dwelling.
I thought I was just as hung up on the idea of always having a Victorian bathtub as she is until I saw this amazing shower created by Signorini Design, which uses slim metallic blocks and attached lights to rain down the water in color.
The water is lit with red, yellow, green and blue lights for a dramatic - albeit geeky effect. "I'm just glad they finally made a shower that's as classy as I am," says Geekologie. "Now I can finally shower in my tuxedo and monocle and not have to worry about feeling out of place." Touché. Touché.

We are remodeling our house and have been looking at tons of fixtures. Is it wrong that I like this a bit? Our house is going to have a modern asian fusion thing going on. I think this would fit in. Plus my hubby and I are geeks
1I love it. I was just talking to my friend who thinks it's creepy (she said: would your really want to see a blue, green or yellow body every time you got in the shower?), but I think it's great and would be so much fun. You could always take a regular non-lit shower when you wanted to.
2I love waterfall showers, they're so relaxing! My friend has this giant, round, metal showerhead and it just rains down immense amounts of water on you. So cool.
Good to see you're reading Geekologie, that guy's hilarious. He's got thesuperficial.com and iwatchstuff.com too!

3i like it...but nothing beats a claw foot bathtub..my dream tub!
4Oh I love this! I'm usually one for the claw foot tubs and pedestal sinks, but this is just, wow! BTW macgirl, I think you're right and this would be a fun accent and compliment to your decor!

5wow! I would love that as a shower. I wonder if the lighting has different effects like a dimmer or a strobe light option. This would make me feel much better about showering twice a day.
6I think it's a bit creepy too... Whatever happened to simple, well designed objects?
7I love it. It makes me think of getting beamed up on Star Trek.
