Label Suisse recently hosted Lausanne, a music free music festival in Switzerland that included artsy printed matters (poster, program, t-shirts) as well as the elaborate cardboard speaker installations. I was drawn to the effort because most concert halls are dark, dismal looking places that lack artistry except for whatever is happening on the stage. Of course, the standard for speakers is plain black with little embellishments, so while these cardboard creations undoubtedly sunk sound quality a bit, they sure do beat your average sound box.

1If someone just did it for themselves it would be geeky, but for a concert or big event I think its pretty cool.
