I've come across a few different cab-fare prediction sites, but Taxi Me takes the cake in terms of design, usability, and accuracy. All you have to do is type in your starting and ending addresses and Taxi Me will show you a map of the route that will most likely be taken and an estimate price of how much it will cost you. Unfortunately, you can't input business names just yet.

I have been looking for something like this FOR-FREAKING-EVER. Thank you!!!! It works pretty well; it errs on the side of expensive. I mapped out 3 of my common cab routes and it was $2-$15 more expensive than the actual trip usually is.
And bonus points for having Chicago's skyline on the home page.
1Very interesting idea, if I can access it from work (we have a serious blocking program) then it would definitely be a helpful website
2That is so awesome! I don't really like calling cab companies asking for an estimate and then hanging up. This would make everything so much easier for me. Huzzah! Love the internet!
