1I want the new Ipod Touch!
can't wait for the zunes!!!!!
2I wont be buying anything from Apple, ever again. I went to an Apple store last night and had the WORST customer service experience EVER. After noboy offered to help us for the first 1/2 hour that we browsed the store, lingering over the iphone, we went and stood in the line where one would stand to make a cash purchase. After standing in this line for a while a customer service rep changed the sign in the window to say "Iphones are not available today." Then he proceeded to tell the 5 people in line waiting to buy the iphones that they were sold out.
3I asked for a manager and explained that I called the store just an hour before I arrived there and was told to come in anytime before closing to purchase one and that they had "plenty" in stock. The manager went to the back and pulled out two new iphones, one for myself and one for the other guy that stuck around to talk to a manager.
The manager had no reasoning for why she had just sent the customer service rep to lie to all of the customers anxiously waiting for the phones. All she said was, "Sorry about that."
I chose not to buy the iphone, nor will I buy another ipod. Im sure Apple won't miss my business, but I wont support a company that is going to treat customers that poorly.
P.S. This is the second time Ive had horrible service at an Apple store. The first time they sold me a laptop that had been previously opened and re-sealed, and then gave me a hard time about wanting to exchange it. I had to explain the situation to 5 people at the Apple store before they finally proceeded with the exchange transaction.
4So just an update on my story: I went back to the Apple store last night and bought the LAST 8gig Iphone in stock. They transferred my number to At&t (from Tmobile) and then discovered that the Iphone was inoperable. The customer service rep told me that they could reverse the transaction (leaving me with an early-termination fee (for my 2 minute contract), and my long-time phone number would be lost OR I could take the broken iphone with me, and bring it back to exchange when they get in more phones. So, here I am, with NO phone. Thanks Apple.
