I usually get my wallpapers from Pixelgirl Presents, too. However, just today, I changed mine to one of my favorite online comics: Sheldon.

For me, it really just depends on how I'm feeling or if I find a really new pretty one. Recently all the wallpapers I get are off of deviantART, but I'm a member there so it's convinent, plus, I now have a wide screen monitor and haven't gotten ps7 up and running yet on a new computer.

My wallpaper is a cat dressed in a superman costume. The cat sort of looks like my cat Socks

My dad lets us change the background on the computer to whatever we want. I'm usually the one that does it. It is usually from a television show or is an actor/actress. Right now it is a picture my dad took of my mom's name that is set up like a train. They both like it so I put it up for them. It must get annoying to see a random guy/woman on the computer every few weeks.

I have a funny picture of my 8 month old. It is the total look of surprise and I imagine he is saying "wha wha wha what???"

My laptop (since I don't use it much) is one of the nature default pictures from Apple (thanks apple!). But my computer that I am usually on, is one i made in photoshop a week ago.

I really like the Marimekko....I may actually use that one myself!

My desktop computer has a vintage photograph of a women in '20s underwear holding a cat in an adorable pose. I just recently changed my laptop wallpaper from a black and white photo from the Library of Congress Flickr feed of two young women and a (now vintage) car in winter to an image of cool-looking empty bottles from Steampunk Wallpaper. I have other images I use, but most are either vintage, probably public-domain photographs (usually sepia-toned, but possibly black and white) or something similar looking from Steampunk Wallpaper.

I use those and my computer rotates them.

My Mac desktop rocks a beach scene I will NEVER get rid of (it hasn't been changed in years!).

My HP laptop is always something minimalistic in design.

And my work desktop is the original blank background of windows classic... I don't like being distracted at work by wallpaper !

Mine's a great pic of the Grand Canyon that motivated me before my vacation. Now I need to update with one I took myself!

Currently it is the default mac blue with the swirls because I just use my laptop on the bed so I cant enjoy the wallpaper or show off to anyone. Before it was this great shot I took of these fruits that grow on campus in macro in bright reds and greens. I loved it

When I had a pc, it was APOD, now on my mbp it just cycles through my photos.

Mine is set to rotate the nature scenes that come with my macbook ever 5 seconds or so.

I usually have some funny picture that I've run across while surfing the internet. Right now it's a white rabbit with a huge piece of lettuce it it's mouth. It got the caption "I hath a letuth" (as if the rabbit were talking with it's mouth full - or lol-speak).

I put my photography pictures up there... and rotate them like if I get a new one I like. At the moment its a beach/lake scene from near my dads house as I'm a tad homesick

Mine is a photo I took last summer of different colored row-boats stacked next to each other on a beach in a small village near Normandy, France.

I don't think we're allowed to change our desktop wallpaper at work (it's currently just blue with our company and subsidiaries logos on it) but I have a feeling that if it was actually something pleasant to look at, it would improve my mood at work! Not that I'm not already happy there!

I use desklickr for the mac and it rotates desktops for me from flickr based on tag searches. I have mine set to "fluffy, cat, cute" or something and flip through some desktops whenever I feel like a change.

I just changed it to this time lapse lightning shot I found on Lifehacker. I like so many things, nature, cartoons, tv shows... I rotate it every month or so. My mom always has her favorite shot (she likes photographing wild birds) of the week.

At the moment I have the default blue Mac wallpaper but I often use the photos I take as my desktop wallpaper.

I like simple and meaningful wallpapers.

I made a wallpaper that has an older vintage look to it. On it has a picture of my dog who recently passed away with a quote and the day of his birth and death.

Before that, though, was a picture on the sun setting at the beach.

I actually had to double check before I commented here! My desktop background is a big heart drawn in sand. Simple, serene, and sweet.

I change it a lot, I do the DeviantART thing as well and do some "mechanical" fractal art that I use sometimes for my own machine, or I might use a funny photo.

Lately I have been into galactic/astronomical photos and nature shots, had some really pretty ones of the northern lights recently.

My wallpaper is my entire family, taken last Thanksgiving. I love it!. I have 3 sons, their wives, and seven grandchildren. And we are not a bad-looking family. Wish I could show you.

I tend to have a lot of Doctor Who (with David Tennant, the 10th doctor) related wallpaper that rotates. Mostly, I like the wallpaper from the BBC Doctor Who site best - especially the comics-style ones.
