Computer Key Shirt: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

I've seen a lot of geeky tees in my day, but I've never before seen such a Geek-key tee! Oh, I kill me!

But seriously. Check out this Computer Key Shirt ($26) from Etsy. I like you too much to make a pun about wearing your geekiness on your sleeve (but not enough to spare you from my geeky-key joke, snap), but you get the idea.

You want to know what the weirdest thing about this shirt is? I don't hate it. The grays the artist chose for the tees are very chic and complement the industrial grays of the keys. Don't know if I'd wear it to a party, but the execution could have been worse.

What do you think? Too cute or too dorky for words?

I actually like it. Not that I'd wear it, unless I suddenly become a high school computer teacher.

It makes me want to do something with the keys off of all those keyboards we have that don't work... but probably not put them on clothing.

I think I would end up picking the keys off.

It may be cuter if they had been a flat-surface print instead of actual KEYS, but I get it, its probably recycling-based, right?

Maybe as a necklace the keys would work better, like a grown-up-geek take on the old "string your name" type things. But it would be rather big. Sticking out tongue

It'd be cuter if the keys were silk screened on.
I don't really like the possibility of something coming off my shirt

I agree with vitisva, the keys should be silkscreened on. The shirt itself is cute and I would totes wear it, but the keys pose two problems: 1, I'd imagine they'd get scraped off or would be uncomfortable if you bumped into something, and 2, i bet you have to wash the shirt by hand which would mean i'd hardly ever wear it.

what if you used the little flat keys off a Macbook Pro or one of the new flat keyed keyboards? Probably still too bulky, nothing I would wear but interesting...

kinda weird... but it'd be neat if you could pluck off the keys and customize what it spells out =P

Interesting concept..but I don't think I would ever wear it. It would be more like a show off item, when I invite friends over (like "I'm the geekiest person in the room!!" Sticking out tongue)

TOO geeky, and I'm usually a big supporter of all things geek. It just seems so... awkward and tacky. The shirt itself (without the keys) is pretty cute, though.
