I hate it when the trailer for a movie has me all excited, and then a few minutes in I realize I have a totally lame, boring, or disappointing 90 minutes ahead of me (why Speed Racer, why?!). So after a friend turned me on to Flixter, I've been feeling a little more confident that the movie I'm about to see is worthy of my $10.50.

Flixter's tagline is "Stop Watching Bad Movies." 'Nuff said! With thousands of other movie buffs like you weighing in every day, you get a good idea of what the masses think about that new action flick in a simple, quick, and easy-to-read rating system. Plus, you can check out reviews of DVDs and get your social fix by seeing what films your friends have seen and rated. Another cool thing about Flixter is you can participate in user-generated polls and quizzes based on movies they've seen. It's a pretty hopping place, that Flixter. You should check it out.

there's also one my cousin told me about and i started to use. rottentomatoes.com
1the rating is based on the people that have gone to see it.
I too have been using rottentomatoes for several years now. Very rarely does it lead me astray. I have been to Flixter but it doesn't seem to match my tastes as accurately.
2yeah i'll stick rottentomatoes.com
3I LOVE flixster! Reviews from real people - not high-falutin critics that don't like anything fun.
Plus - it turns out i am a movie quiz genius.
4i use both rottentomato and flixster. i've been on both for many years now.
5I wish I had known about this before going to see The Happening!
