It's wonderful that electronics designers are starting to take disabilities into consideration — even if they first start with a hack, like that Rock Band mod for wheelchairs.
This concept design is a camera — for the blind. Called the TouchSight, it would utilize Braille and the other senses to both take photos and then download them later.

While the TouchSight is only a concept now, it was designed by someone from Samsung China — a company that knows a few things about cameras, so there's actual hope for this idea to come to fruition.

...how are they going to see the photos?
1lol, good point.
2I guess it's cool and all, but what's the point of this? I thought the point of regular cameras was to record a memory or event so you could reflect on it later...
Wouldn't a DV cam be a better tool for the blind? At least that has sound.
3the photos will be in braille?
4I wondered about why people who can't see pictures would want to take pictures, too, but I guess the point is they can take pictures to show other people.
5How does it work...? :s
6Not all blind people are completely blind. Many just have poor vision and with mechanical aids can read books, go to baseball games, and take and review pictures. For years, these have have been too large or cumbersome for people to use, but it's innovative ideas like this camera that will help the blind to be more like their sighted peers.
