Get Schooled with Educational iPhone Apps
Since the iTunes App Store launched, there are new applications every single day, making me feel like the proverbial kid in a candy store. The myriad categories are only outnumbered by the growing numbers of apps in each. I've highlighted
games and the
essentials, but you can't count out the educational apps. Whether you have kids and want to supplement their learning or just need refreshers yourself, check out my slideshow of braintastic iPhone apps!

My fiance's learning Spanish with an app on his iPhone. I have to say it's a bit odd to hear him go through his lessons when he's got his headphones on and I can't hear the app. Every once in a while, when things are really quiet in the house, I'll suddenly hear him bust out some random Spanish phrase and then go silent again
1You should check out Stacks. It was just recently added to the iTunes App Store and is an awesome educational yet fun app.
Essentially it is professionally created flash cards that cover everything including math facts, geography, vocabulary words, trivia, quotes, and even some fun ones too!
