I'm not a big comic book fan, but I do enjoy movies that are well executed, like when we saw the Dark Knight last weekend. I think I have a big advantage not being a comic book fan because I don't have pre-existing ideas about characters and story lines. I watch some movies with my bf, who was quite the comic book collector when he was little, and I can see it kind of annoys him when he sees major deviances from a normal character development.

I am a HUGE comic book fan and seeing works like Batman (naturally) and V for Vendetta on the big screen bring a whole new level of intrigue. Personally, I am against books becoming movies but comics are great works of writing and drawing, and to put it in 3-D form is awesome!

I'll see the movies as long as they are good and get okay or better reviews!

Depends if they make them well. Loved Iron Man, The Dark Knight, V For Vendetta... looking forward to Watchmen. When they make them badly it makes me sad.

bad movies always suck and unfortunately, some of the comic movies have been bad. but, there have been some really great ones and those are totally worth it. iron man was total awesomeness and i felt so great after watcing spiderman and xmen 2.

Justice League? G.I. Joe? I had no idea these were coming out! w00t! And remember... knowing is half the battle.

It's not exactly a new concept, just that many past comic book-based movies were so bad, it's better to forget about them and start again. Iron Man was surprisingly well done, and The Dark Knight was much, much better than any of its Batman predecessors in terms of acting and atmosphere. It seems that filmmakers used to hold the notion that these films had to push funny to be marketable. Or in the case of Spiderman, stupidly emo.

I'm always worried about WHICH comic is being turned into a movie.

I never thought I would be happy to see Watchmen turned into a movie until I saw Zac Snyder's name attached to it, then saw the trailer.

I was always scared that whoever got ahold of it would try to make it present day, but after reading this week's Entertainment Weekly I belive in his vision and I'm excited.

Honestly, now that Marvel and DC have their own production studios that are dedicated to making movies right (instead of the fiascoes that were Ghost Rider, The Hulk, Daredevil, etc.). Personally, I'm quite pleased about the recent comic book inspired movies, especially Dark Knight.

I think that there are definitely story arcs and actual characters that are just NOT believable on the big screen. The big problem with some of these movies that were being produced outside of Marvel/DC were serious hampered because the director simply didn't understand the characters/mood/story/etc. I'm glad that we're finally getting somewhere with high-quality comic book movies.

Personally, I'm exceptionally excited for Watchmen. Squee.

I think most of the movies ruin the reputations of the classic comics. Only a select few have been successful. Hey, lets see a Thundercats movie (not live action, puhleasseee)

I never read comics as a kid, so I honestly don't think too much about them. I just think of it as another movie I might want to watch.

I love when comic books and grapic novels come to life. what i dont like is when a graphic novel like wanted comes out on big screen and they change the story line, or when they have to the movie twice to get it right or aka the hulk!!

I think it's good for people who have never heard of these comics before to see them in movie form. But it's really the same thing as the books turning into movies except the comic-turned-movies will need a lot more special effects.

I don't read comics, but I find that the movies based on comic series and graphic novels lend themselves well to adaptation. I think it's that they are meant to be visually concieved.

I've been loving the two latest Batman movies, but I've been most disappointed with the Spiderman ones (partly because I was a bigger fan of Spidey beforehand - with great fandom comes great expectations... hee).

I think the movies turned me into a bigger fan of Batman and dampened my liking of Spiderman. Both these franchises did a great job of humanizing the hero. The difference is, a "romantic" plot-line ate the Spiderman franchise. Also, poor Spidey had most of his spine and wit removed for the movies.

Ah, and Spiderman 3 made me wish Bryce Dallas Howard is playing Mary Jane and Da Dunst is playing Gwen Stacy. Also, it'd be nice if Topher Grace is Peter Parker and Tobey Mcguire is Eddie Brock.

I think that graphic novels make better movies than comic books. I really really dislike superhero movies. But I think movies like The Crow, Tank Girl, Wanted, and V for Vendetta work well.

this is my favorite genre for movies! i do not care for the Batman movies (so i refuse to see the Dark Knight), but i love all kinds of other comic book/graphic novel movies. All the ones you have in the picture have made great movies! I was pleasantly surprised with V for Vendetta, especially. I am looking forward to the X-Men Wolverine movie and any others with X-Men in them....also, the Watchmen looks really good.

I hope they'll do a good job with Y the Last Man and be sure to look out for Whiteout. I also thought Wanted was fun to watch.
