Remember a few months ago, when we all got giddy because AT&T hotspots were suppose to be free for iPhone customers? Well that didn't exactly happen, but now (I'm guessing because of iPhone 3G mania), AT&T's free WiFi hotspot access is finally live! If you've got an iPhone, you can now use the WiFi at 17,000 sites around the US, including Starbucks. Use AT&T's hotspot locator to see where the nearest hotspot locations are to you! Forgive me for quoting Celine but, "A new day has come!"

1Hmmm, that's so odd! Especially since they officially posted it on their website with this message:
"AT&T knows Wi-Fi is hot, and free Wi-Fi even hotter, which is why we are proud to offer iPhone customers free access to the nation's largest Wi-Fi hot-spot network with more than 17,000 hot spots, including Starbucks. Now users can relax and access music, e-mail, and Web browsing services with their favorite blend in hand from the comfort of their favorite location."
Thanks for the heads up suziryder!
2Am I really out of it or isn't the whole idea of the iPhone that you get internet already through the mobile service? Like anywhere?
Or is wifi just better because it's faster? I'm confused.
3um, does the stupid ipod touch count--cause i totally have that already
4me too itsme. i thought you could use the iphone internet connection anywhere at anytime.
5Wifi is about 10x's faster itsme. I'm still boycotting the iPhone until I can use it officially on the Verizon network.
6Thanks, that makes sense!
I'm also a Verizon person, so, no iPhone for me... but I love my touch!
