Actually it will hold the 3G, you just need to buy a separate belt clip to hold the iPhone in the Soaripod. They are working on making a clip for the 3G. But if you want, just buy a separate belt clip and you can use the soaripod. I saw them sold on www.soaripod.com

Very nice idea. Reminds me a lot of the Gorillapod Go-Go. You might check that out, as it does the same sort of thing, but has a bit more versatility.

I meant to say in my previous comment that the product I linked has adhesive attachments and a suction cup included, which makes it ideal for any videoplayer or phone or whatever...

I just showed this to a friend of mine who said they saw it in person, it will hold any other device, you just need to get a belt clip holster for the device and clip it to the soaripod. It works really cool. I think the only problem with the go go is its suction and adhesive and I don't trust suction. I'd rather just clip it without worrying about it falling or getting adhesive residue.

man people are making millions with the simplest gadgets these days. i should be smarter and quicker.

I do not know what I like better....... my soaripod or my G3. They are a match made in heaven
I have gotten to watch movies just about anywhere. The soaripod clips to soooo many surfaces. I just remove my G3 from my belt and clip it right onto the soaripod and instant handsfree. Love it.
