If you've been wondering what's next for the Wii after conquering Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, then wonder no more. The E3 Summit kicked off this week, and the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, revealed yesterday at a press event that new titles for both Mario and Zelda are in the works.
Iwata admitted there is a dire need for quality games like Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, which I have to totally agree with, since the sub-par mass of third party games and movie tie-ins are getting a bit old. Although he didn't reveal any other info, I'm totally stoked already! Bring on more Mario!

seriously?! yay yay yay!!! i loved both those games and would love to play more games like them. The Zelda game (twilight princess) is my favorite from the series.

3i'm looking forward to the new titles. i never played mario galaxy but i loved zelda.
4Did someone say Zelda?! YAY!
5Now I have to buy a Wii though. And I want a Wii Fit too.
6Zelda was awesome! Can't wait for the next one!!!
I wish they said WHEN these were coming out though...
7Woohoo! I love both so I can't wait to see what they're going to be like.
8Circuit City has Wii's if you're looking for one... Good bundles too.
I just got mine, and I'm working on Zelda and Mario.
I love them!
9Zelda/Ocarina of Time remains one of the games that most impressed me over the years, so hopefully any new Wii offerings will be the same quality.
Overall I have nothing to say but great things so far about the Wii. And I agree the movie tie-in games mostly suck, though the Indiana Jones one got some good reviews around the net, I am not sure that would have ever enticed me because I hate that sort of mass-branding.
Anyway, we have Mario Kart and Mario Smash Bros and both are addictive and fun. I also got Wii Fit and I LOVE it, it has its flaws but it has singlehandedly helped me lose about 5 pounds since the end of May, and painlessly. We also indulged in a few oldschool games from WiiWare like Galaga. The browser sucks a wee bit though, pretty clunky and slow, but then I expected that.
