Geek crush Joel McHale usually spends Friday nights on The Soup sending up ridiculous reality TV shows, but he made an exception this past Friday, a geeksugar holiday, to take aim at a newsworthy target: The iPhone 3G.
The show satirizes the rollercoaster pricing of the iPhone since its initial launch last July, and may give you a little comic relief if your wallet is the one part of you that doesn't appreciate your slavish gadget worship!

Joel Mchale =
9the sex.
10See, i think it's stupid. You could say the same thing about that new state-of-the-art plasma television that you bought several years ago then a year later found out that you're stuck with a shoddy reseolution. Or that HDDVD player you bought a year ago just to find out that they are discontinued.
It's just technology. And everyone knows that apple products are expensive simply for the sake of being expensive.
11funny
12This is sort of off topic. But before Joel McHale got the job hosting The Soup, he must have done some modeling for a stock photography service. Because, at my old job, we had some stock photography images of people listening to music. And one of the images was of a younger Joel McHale...funny.
13calamari, I love that! What I wouldn't give to see one of those old school shots.
14I saw this the other night and laughed so hard. I'm waiting for the next iteration, something with less bugs and maybe a keyboard.
15Yeah but no one goes line up for TVs when they just bought one a year ago...
16Most (not all) people buy the Iphone for the sake of buying the "best thing" and showing it off. I don't know why people feel this urge to waste money, they just bought the old iphone and they are ready to go throw more money out... in the end though, it's their money and if they feel that they must have that iphone to impress they can go right ahead.
Queen, I actually bought mine because I have owned a lot of cell phones (including other smartphones besides the iPhone), and it has simply performed the best. If it impresses people, that's cool, but not the only reason I would ever spend hundreds of dollars on a thing (except maybe shoes
).
17Like I said, not all people...
