You don't want to run out of memory (or film) halfway through the show, so bring extra memory cards or rolls of film with you to the display. If you were taking photos from the festivities earlier in the day, consider unloading your pics onto your computer or laptop to clear some space.
Oh, and don't forget to have fun — photography is all about experimentation!
