Though I dragged my feet a little right before I converted from reading my blogs on their native pages to an RSS Reader, I could never go back. Sure, there are some sites I still enjoy going to and getting the "full experience," but I read almost all my blogs on Google Reader.
I have even found workarounds for stuff like getting the blog design or not leaving Reader to read the comments on a post with Better GReader. I'm a total convert, and I'm always trying to convince my friends who are still reading blogs the old-fashioned way. So are you devoted to RSS too, or are you not ready for the change?

Mantaray
no, I need someone to explain it to me!
1I actually just subscribe to the feeds in Apple Mail. Totally not the same thing, but I enjoy it that way.
2Basically, an RSS reader lets you subscribe to your favorite blogs and read them all in one place, instead of having to go to each separate site. It's sort of like an email inbox, where each new post that is made on the blog comes into the reader already arranged in separate folders. It might take some getting used to at first, but trust me, it saves a LOT of time and once you get the hang of it, you'll probably wonder how you ever went so long without using RSS! The one I use is called Bloglines: http://www.bloglines.com
You should give it a try!
3I looooooooooove RSS Reader! It's made my internet life so much easier. I use Google Reader. =)
4BetterGReader is great! Thanks so much, Geek!
5I just downloaded the gadget for Google Reader and absolutely love it. I really dig how it doesn't take me to the website when I click to read a story, it just opens the website IN the Google Reader. It's awesome. I love the Mac skin for it too.
6Google Reader is the best! (and Better GReader makes it even better, thanks to Lifehacker, woo!)
7Yep, I'm a Google Reader fan, too!
8Google Reader on my macbook and iphone.
9google reader is just plain awesome. i love to check my feeds on my (not iphone) phone during downtime at work.
10I'm always subscribing to new blogs/news pages, so my google reader gets pretty full! I tend to leave some posts unread because I don't have time to read them all!
11I use gReader and Vienna. I used bloglines for a bit, but I prefer gReader's simplicity. I first started using RSS readers for webcomics, and it progressed from there. I recently trimmed down my subscriptions to 85...
12i loove goolge reader and better greader.
13I couldn't read all my blogs if I didn't use Reader!
14i tried it once.. it was way too annoying.
15I originally installed BeyondPod (a free RSS reader for Windows Mobile) so that I could download podcasts to my phone.
It never even occurred to me to use the RSS reader feature. Now, I love it. I download my podcast and rss feeds and listen and read during my metro ride to work. It saves so much time. And, I can get updates anywhere. RSS readers are nice. MOBILE RSS is fabulous. I don't know what took me so long. I love it.
16i use yahoo reader. it's loaded with like 40 blogs and i love it. it's customized with everything i need first thing in the morning!
17Tried Google reader and I just ended up going to each of the sites anyway so I stopped.
18Going with Google Reader, and I only end up readin the stories that interest me on the websites/blogs.
Before, when I had things bookmarked, I used to forget to check up on things regularly. Now there are less things to check out.
It's so practical to have most things one place.
19I can't imagine my (internet) life without Google Reader anymore.
20i used google reader. it saves time, and it looks like *work*, so i can leave the browser open on my desktop, and not worry about my boss seeing it
21I've used Google Reader in the past but I just like the feel of the whole experience of being on the actual site and with Morning Coffee its somewhat like the same experience. lol
22NetNewsWire is the way to go!
23I've tried all sorts of readers (including Google Reader) and always end up coming back to Netvibes. I use that combined with Morning Coffee for my daily internet routine!
24No, not yet.
25I use Bloglines. I keep trying to get my friends to use an RSS reader but they just don't get how useful it is.
26I don't use one but I may start soon. Of course, I won't read Geek Sugar on there, I need the full experience.
27I use the RSS reader in Apple's Mail.app as well. They come in like emails to my RSS mailbox and I can look at them on my own time. Plus if there is something interesting I can just forward it on to people.
28interesting... I had read about this before but hadnt started doing it yet...
29it's only the greatest invention EVER, especially for those of us who have to be sneaky about it at work--keeping it all in one window (google reader for me) is great.
30We are going to far! We need gadgets to use our gadgets now? What happens one day when we wake up, and there are so many layers of abstraction between our lives and the way things 'actually work' that none of us could survive without them?
OK that's a bit far considering we are only talking about an RSS reader here. hehehe.
But is this the beginning? At first I had an iPod so I could listen to music. Then I added the 32 Gig iPod media player so I could watch movies and TV shows. Then I got the iPhone so I could talk to friends and surf the net. Will my next iUpgrade allow me to be able to just log into iTunes and order an iPizza to be delivered? What happens when the iThing I used to listen to music on becomes my source of iNourishment? Should iI be scared?
Or am I just getting old? Excuse me, I must go hurl now...
31CrazySexyCool- you might be right about it being an age thing. I find that as I get older I'm starting not to "get" stuff. "Why would I do that? The old way was just fine". I refused to use an RSS reader for a really long time. It wasn't until I had it in my email program that I caved now I find it saves me a ton of time. OK, have to go yell at some kids to turn down their damn rock music
32I have a few but I never look at it.
33I started to use the my yahoo rss feeder, but it is not the most user friendly to add your sites too. So, I usually just end up going to the sites.
34too = to. typed too many o's!
35Google Reader has basically changed my life and made me so much more informed about everything from new beauty items, cool video games, awesome events in LA, weekend weather forecasts, daily comics... you get the idea. Plus it saves time and makes it easy to read things at work without everyone noticing you are slacking off.
36i have Shrook and love it!! i look at dozens of design/decor sites everyday, so i need my RSS Reader! it took me a long time before i got into it, though. i think it might have to do with age, like macgirl said.
37because of this post i decided to check out google reader, and i LOVE IT! thanks
38After reading this poll and the one after I decided to try RSS! And suddenly... life is so much easier. It's so awesome... No need to refresh and go back to web pages all the time. Thanks!
39Yes, I use an RSS feed. I've been using Google Reader for a while now, at the suggestion of a prior geeksugar article. It helps me out because then I don't have to remember to check x number of particular sites because Google Reader collects all the info for me. The only thing is that you really have to keep up-to-date with the postings, because I made the mistake of not checking my feed for a few days and now I've gotten so behind that I don't know how I can catch up, cuz I wanna read ALL of the items! lol
40google reader + klipfolio
41net news wire!!!
