Why wait for the perfect storm (literally) of rain and sun, when you can have your own rainbow, whenever and wherever you want it?

With just a wave of your hand over it, the Rainbow Projector produces an LED rainbow light for when you need a pick-me-up (or if you are so totally sick of looking for your pot of gold).
Do you love this little instant-gratification nature gadget, or do you prefer the real thing?

I don't think I'd ever buy that..
1That's so cute, I love it!
2I prefer the real thing. Cute idea though.
3not for me but maybe for a toddler
4I used to have a suncatcher crystal in my window that sprayed rainbows all over the place whenever the sun was shining. I wish I still had it.
My grandmother had a bevelled glass door that did the same to her whole front hall. Yay prisms!
5I love it, it woulld keep my brother busy for hours!!!!
6We actually bought one of these for our kids about a year ago. Unfortunately it's not well made and doesn't deliver what it promises.
I was expecting the light to be projected through some type of prism to create a real rainbow. Instead it's a series of colored LEDs that reflect off a mirror to your wall. The light is weak and the rainbow that's produced is less than impressive.
This is next on my 'want to buy' list - http://www.laserpod.com/gallery.asp
Crossing my fingers that it's even half as cool as it looks.

I think I'll just enjoy the real thing
8I'm not a unicorn, so no.
9Its awesome!
10Great for a childs room
or alternate source of lighting for a display
or just for fun
keep it up geek!
of course the real rainbows are better, who doesn't like to see 'em... and this one's good too!
11So cute! I want one!
12Thanks Sasseefrass for your honest review. I like it, but if it's going to put out weak rainbows then
13my daughter wants one so badly but I think it's never going to be in my house until I can plug it in. It only takes batteries and she would go through them so fast it would make your head spin.
14Lol, macgirl! But yea, that's a neat idea but I wouldn't get it. Rainbows are so rare here in So. Cal, so it makes it even more special when I see one!
15You can make a rainbow at home with a clear glass of water and either the sun or a pure white light, can't you? I mean, I didn't really pay attention in science class, but I'm quite certain it's easier to use the magic of science to get a rainbow than to buy a machine to project it.
16I want one!!!
17i see rainbows after practically every rain and i wouldn't trade the real thing, ever.
