I got an email from a friend the other day wondering about which Bluetooth speakerphone she should get to be compliant with the upcoming California Hands-Free law that goes into effect tomorrow! She writes:
Do you know which visor Bluetooth device I can get for my LGEnv2 and my husband's LGvx5400? We have Verizon and they don't have anything at the stores yet that I can pick up. I have to be able to do voice dialing and hear the other person clearly. Oh, and hubby's gonna be spittin' mad if it's complicated!
Since I didn't want anyone spitting on anything, I got right on the task! To find out which device I would recommend, just read more.
After a little digging, I finally settled on the Motorola T505 hands-free speaker. It's simple to use (just push a few buttons on the back to link up), and you can either use the effective internal speaker to gab away, or with slightly more effort you can program your signal to route through your FM radio frequency for a better sounding conversation. Audio-voice dialing and caller ID make it the best for in-car dialing without picking up your phone. It's not the cheapest on the block (coming in at $97 on Newegg), but it's getting some really positive reviews and seems to be the easiest to use. Another cool feature? You can stream your tunes through the T505 from your Bluetooth compatible MP3 player, and still be able to take calls with noise-reduction technology!
Do you have any recommendations for my pal? Let her know what you use in the comments below!

My husband has one of these. He got the iPod Bluetooth adapter from Motorola and linked it up in less than a minute. He loves it.
1Haha whenever I see a cop, I just put my phone in my lap until he drives by. One time I did this, then I looked over and saw the cop on his phone (non handsfree)!! So i picked my phone back up and started chatting!
2Geek, I have the same problem but have one more question for you...My husband and I both have two phones (work and personal) on two different networks (iphone - AT&T, and I have nextel for my work, he has verizon). Does this or is there a device where you can use 2 phones?
Thanks!
3I got the Sony Xplod car stereo instead which does Bluetooth hands free through my car's speakers. Came with an excellent set of installation instructions too. My husband has a Parrot handsfree (and they both pick up any Bluetooth signal you connect them to) which works great too.
4cool...thanks Chicago!
5hanako66 you’re in luck: the Moto T505 works with any phone that has Bluetooth connectivity on any network!
6AWESOME!
Thanks Geek!
7I am currently sitting at Best Buy waiting for the GeekSquad to install my new Garmin Nuvi 760. This has the hands free bluetooth set up and it imported in my address book from my iPhone! Can't wait to see how it works in the car.
8*Geek, I'm sorry, but just to clarify....can this device work for 2 phones at one time?
*macgirl...please let us know how it works out!!!
9I have this device and it works flawlessly. Works with almost any phone with a BT connection. Also works with multiple phones as long as you set up the profile with each of the phones, you're good to go!
10thanks lowbattery!
11I just picked up the BlueAnt SuperTooth 3. It downloads your whole address book and announces says the name of the person who is calling. You can then just say "answer" to answer.
Haven't tried it yet (waiting for it to come in) but looks cool and the reviews were pretty good.
12i know i should have one but since i rarely talk and drive i've avoided it. it's not illegal in missouri or kansas
13will it pair with both devices at the same time foe example i have a work and personel phone and i cant get it to pair with both phones at the same time can i get some help please
