I have the stylus 850sw, which is a model up from that one and though I have yet to take an underwater pic, I did test it out by putting in inside a bowl filled with water. But I use it to take regular pics as well.

I have this model and it's great. I take it with me everywhere, since it's small and light. It survived a 6-foot drop onto concrete, and being thrown around in snow.... I really recommend it. Also, I chose the orange one too - it's easier to find if you lose it underwater/ in the snow.

Oooooh. I love it! We took some awesome photos snorkeling in Mexico last summer but it was with a film camera and I lost the prints
Which I would always do, which is why I so love digital photography. I will definitely get one before our next big vacation.
