Well, my month long journey with the Wii Fit has come to an end. Although I had a lot of fun (and lost a few pounds in the process), I'm actually excited to take my workouts to the next level! I was never a gym class sort of person, but using the Wii Fit's yoga workouts, really have me itching to get back to the gym and try out a full-fledged yoga class!
Needless to say, I had a blast training with the Wii Fit, and am actually planning on getting one for my parents this Christmas, since my dad really loved the balance games! How have your results been? And don't forget to cheer each other on in the Gaming Fitness group! To see my completed challenge results, read more!
Since I started the challenge, I have lost a total of four and a half pounds, I've reduced my BMI by one point, but the best result I've achieved is more flexibility, stronger arms, and stronger abs from all the yoga, planks, and jackknife challenges!
Have you been keeping up with my challenge? Tell us about the results you've achieved in the comments below!

congrats on your success! that's very exciting and you will love yoga class but be warned that it will hurt the next day! at least i'm always in pain! i'm getting my mom one for her 50th this year!
1Is that four pounds outside of your normal weight changes?
Good luck on the classes!
2I am on week 2 and down 2 lbs....I feel like it is really working my body and love my results so far!
3This is great to know! I always wanted to join a class at my gym, but I felt I wasn't ready to enter on that level. But my Wii Fit to arrive any day now, and so now I'm looking forward to using it to 'train' so I can finally join the 'big kids'
4I am tempted to get one for my wii, but I am pretty good about going to classes at the gym. Wondering how the "step aerobics" portion is? Does it require any coordination or is it not actually like step class?
5your results are really great Geek! Do you think you'll still use it everyday, or just now and then, since you are planning to take a 'real' yoga class? i think 30 minutes a day would be manageable. i hope i'm able to have nice results from it, like you...i'd even settle for being able to have better balance.
6Maybe I can convince my mom she needs one.... that's ethical, right?
Since I don't have a Wii, I've been playing a bit with Youself!Fitness (for PC and PS2), which is like an aerobics and yoga instructor in a disc. It's pretty hard though. I've never really done aerobics before (and I have no rhythm) so I have trouble following even the "easy" steps. It's definitely a more "serious" workout and worth checking out.
7ahhhhh, I hope my brother gets one soon so I can use it! I would get one if I had the monies
8looking good! i actually stopped after my 7th day because I felt it was not a major workout, but i noticed you have mini weights! i will try those! thanks for the tip!
9I hurt my back last weekend so had to take this week off.
I need to get back on it!
10I'd love to get a wii & the wii fit. It looks like a lot of fun.
11Make sure you buy that Christmas Wii Fit NOW, because these things will not be easy to find at Christmas time.
12Bah! I really want both the Wii & WiiFit. Maybe when I'm done grad school:S
13My Wii Fit is at my boyfriend's house, so I can only play on the weekends, but I can really feel my muscles working.
