Sure, this trend might be picking up at weddings and parties in general, but trends are usually hot for a reason: Skip the disposable cameras and capture candids with a rented photo booth! Guests will have another great activity for the reception, you'll have even more awesome photos for your album, and face this reality: Everyone loves a photo booth!
Photobooth.net helps you find and reserve a photo booth around the country (and has a great piece of advice: Traditional photo booths need a venue on the ground floor due to their weight). And Party Booths also supplies digital photo booths, if quality is an issue.
Best and worst part: Aunt Ida and Uncle Marty may find the booth after several glasses of champagne punch and get a little frisky. Those will be shots for the album for sure!

this is a far better idea than disposable cameras. i would love this at the next wedding i attended.
1i have always dreamed of doing this!
2This is a really fun idea! I've been thinking about avoiding a big wedding/reception all together for my wedding... but maybe if I nix the reception for an "afterparty" (as suggested elsewhere in Sugarland) and throw in a photobooth? That might be kind of fun. Hm.
3we are having a photobooth at our wedding next April, in addition to our professional photog of course...i love photobooths and i always drag my fiance in whenever we see one...it was a "must" on our list!!
4That is such a great idea! But I don't know if I could afford it. Maybe we can make up our own 'photo booth' with a cute sheet as a background and have someone take fun pics! The less posed they look the more genuine they will be!
5around how much would this cost?
6I've seen this on a wedding show - the party goers seemed to love it.
7brandiboop--I think it'd be an easy DIY; in fact, I've done it before at my house, with a black velvet blanket and a walk-n closet. Shouldn't be too hard to make one at your venue!
8I love it. I've always dreamed of having an artist draw characatures of the guests at my wedding.
9This is a fantastic idea
I'd consider it for major parties too.
10Yeah, I've talked about this with some of the wives of my fiance's friends and we have all agreed that we have NO idea what kind of pictures would come out in a photo booth with that group of guys. We'll just be doing professional photography.
11I'm also curious about the price. This is something special I could see myself splurging on.
12This is a fun idea! Everyone loves photo booths, seriously.
13I saw this on a wedding show too-the groom was way over the top with his random demands for the wedding, and the bride was constantly trying to reel him back in.
He ended up getting the photobooth without her knowing (and going over their budget).
14If the cost wasn't exorbitant, I'd LOVE this idea. Then again, I also know that there's no telling what my friends would do. It would still be worth it.
15Sounds like a great idea. I would totally do this.
16Spot on y'all- I think its brilliant!
17I would love to have a photbooth at any party. The crazier the pictures the better (unless they were ALL naked shots then I would just make a web site for adults only and send the site name out to all my friends because if you take the pic plan on me showing EVERYONE!!)
18We had one and it was so much fun!
19i remember i went to my friend's party and she had one. sooooooo much fun!
20we are having a photobooth at our wedding in october. as part of the package (for $200 extra) we are having a coffee table book made of all of the photo strip that our guests do. i think i will use this as more of a wedding album than the pictures the photographer will take!
21check out www.boothnation.com for the uk. incredible booths and totally makes everyone look AMAZING!!! best photos i've ever had.
22We did a photobooth for my hubbies 30th Bday. It was a lot of fun and we never even knew they existed (outside of the mall!) It was a little pricy but we got lots of pictures, scrapbooks and our guests loved it. Can't remember exactly the name of the company but they were very cool. I think it was Hollywood Photo Booth or something. We live in Los Angeles. Would HIGHLY recommend having a booth at your wedding or party...
23I am doing this for a party this summer and can't wait. I found a company called The Majestic Photobooth Co. that rents really nice looking photobooths. They look like the old school vintage photobooths, but are digital so I can get the CD of all the pictures.
