I can't deny the fact that I used to get a good chuckle out pics like the one below, when couples would go the distance by having a geek-inspired wedding. But now I'm realizing that a couple's wedding day is about them, their love, and sharing their special day with friends and family. . . .Therefore, go nuts! Seriously, why conform when you and your hubby are Trekkies and truly want to "geek out" on your day?! 3i got married in vegas and i said no to elvis so the hubby said not to star trek, but he was thinking of doing a 5 year renewal at the hilton for me this year. ill definitely share pics if it happens
4My wedding reception was at the Star Trek Experience at the LV Hilton. It was awesome and beautiful...and so much fun. We had a faux starfield above us all night. The drinks were awesome, too...we had drinks with the fake smoke coming out and tall chocolate drinks. Having my reception there was one of my best wedding decisions, even though neither of us are huge
Unfortunately, the Star Trek Experience is closing down in the next year or so. The LV Hilton is converting to condos, and that makes it less of a tourist venue.
