For some crazy reason I've been craving a good Super Mario Brothers 3 games session! I haven't played since I had to sell my NES to get my hands on a N64, so instead of just downloading the game onto my Wii's Virtual Console, I've been spending a bit more time than usual on eBay searching for an old system and copy of the game (what can I say, I'm nostalgic) to whisk me back to simpler times.
Since me and the plump plumber have had a long-standing relationship, I wanted to see how many of you heart the little Italian man and all the trouble he gets into. 1My fav was Super Mario World, but I really love Super Mario 3 as well. Galaxy has been the best on the newer consoles. I also have a weird, yet special, place in my heart for Mario's Time Machine. I played it the whole time I had chicken pox

If you keep an eye out on eBay, you will be able to find an original NES box for about 20 bucks. A few of my friends picked up theirs that way.

5I really like the "Donkey Kong" game, when Mario was just the "jumper man" who´s gonna save the princess from the "bad" gorilla.

8I'm one of the few who chose Super Mario 2. I loved the fantasy world, and getting to play as the Princess, and no time limits! But Dr. Mario is a close second. I wore my Game Boy out with that one.

24Mario 2 (USA). I got to the end, and I was very angry.
I liked Dr. Mario, but my mom stole it. I remember the pinball with generic Mario/Princess, she stole that one too.
I always thought my dad was the coolest, because he could beat SMB1.

29I remember when I finished the game in the video and I was PISSED! When you got to the end all it said was, Thank you Mario. I was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAT you mean to tell me I played an insane amount of hours every free second of my day, times when I should have been studying to get a THANK YOU MARIO???!!! I'm getting heated now just thinking about it.

42Hard to beat the original, but I have to say SUPER PAPER MARIO rocks my face off. Much better than the original paper mario, and even after you beat it you can continue to play.

45Mario 2. I just got an FC Twin that plays both NES and SNES games, and horror of horror, it doesn't work with a Game Genie. Now I have to go on eBay and get an old school NES so I can use the Game Genie and actually beat games instead of game over 4 minutes in.
46After 18 years of play, I finally beat Super Mario 3 without giving up.
