I'm absolutely hooked on my Wii Fit, and I'm not ashamed to say it. Although I have yet to get a kick-butt aerobic workout like I do at my gym during cardio kickboxing, I'm finding myself to be more flexible than ever — plus, I think I even stand up straighter! My dominant workouts this week were yoga (I can't believe how much I'm loving it) and running. Taking on the Island Run for the first time was really fun, since I got to check out the lay of the virtual land (which is pretty sweet, by the way).

Plus, once you're finished with your jaunt that's worth 10 minutes in your Wii Fit Bank, you'll surely need that sweat towel (especially if you use my tip from last week to hold full water bottles or weights in your hands while you're running)!
And what was the nicest surprise I discovered? To find out just read more.
But the nicest surprise, besides finding that I have more energy, is that my BMI is slowly trickling down the stat chart! Although it's not a significant difference, it surely is putting to rest any doubts I had about the Wii Fit being a fun and interactive weight loss aid. I'm stoked to see what the end results will be in two more weeks. But checking in with you newly addicted Wii Fit-ters — how is it going on your first week? Are you digging the yoga and hula hooping as much as I did? Tell us about your experiences, and share your tips in the comments below!

I'm so glad that it's working for you!
1way to go. sounds like it's hitting the mark. i don't have it yet but i can't wait to try it out.
2I want one after seeing how much fun you are having!
3Its so much fun to use as a cool down, or second exercise for the day. And it finally got my hubby to stretch, he loves being able to kick my name out of the top position.
4wow, after reading your reviews, I really want one!
5I'm loving mine. The yoga moves are favorites of mine, which surprised me as I'd never tried any yoga before. My BMI has dropped a bit too since I started.
6My boyfriend and I both love it! We fight over who gets to use it, and we compete to get top scores in everything. The friendly competition makes us push ourselves harder, and the weight loss graphs keep us motivated. Both our weight/BMI graphs have gone down since we started! I have lost 2 full pounds so far just from doing it 30 mins a day.
7Oh and today I did the running one and used two wii-motes for weights. Good tip thanks!
8I would love to try this out mtself!!!
9I love, love, love mine! My BMI has moved slowly down and it's fun competition to bump people out of top spots. I had some friends try it over the holiday weekend and they beat some of my scores, which I worked hard this week at winning back
My favorite
sweat-inducer is Super Hula Hoop, as it makes you swing to a specific side so you are working both sides equally in the end. This is totally the best game I've ever bought. I love it. It gets
me off the couch and makes me work on improving myself. What more could I ask for?
10I'm having a blast with my Wii Fit. My favorite is the advanced step. Granted it's cheesy but it's a hoot and I can feel my legs tingling when I finish. I just opened the rhythm boxing last night and tried it out, that's fun too. Overall it's a great game, that even my boyfriend is enjoying!
11I am totally loving my Wii Fit, I have lost 3 lbs since last Wednesday and my BMI is going down! A super-fun game that also keeps you health...What more could you ask for?? My only problem now is that since I took it to my parents house for them to try my Mom wants one and I can't seem to find them anywhere, any help on where I can find one? I would recommend this to anyone! I love the advanced hoola hoop and the ski jump...my thighs burn with contentment!!
12My mom wants one too but I had to explain to her she would have to buy a Wii too. Not sure it is worth it for one game. Although she might like Wii Sports too.
13Yeah, my mom is going to have to buy the Wii system too because she has yet to buy one, but I am going to get it for her husband for his b-day, he LOVES Guitar Hero III..he always plays it when I bring it to their house, and he recently fell in love with the Wii Fit this weekend also!
14I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ski jump. I am obsessed with getting perfect socres!! After the first day I was surprised to feel it in my biceps (I use the weights, too.)
My 4 year old DD loves the running. Too adorable!
15I like the running, even though it's hard to run in place. I haven't seen effects in the BMI area yet, but I have high hopes.
16That's awesome it's working out for you.
17I really want one, but it's always sold out so fast.
That is great! Congratulations. Does the Wii Fit actually monitor your BMI?
18Yes, it does monitor your BMI! I'm so glad to hear everyone's weightloss. I've lost 2 pounds since I got it also! I can't believe it actually works!!!
19I was out of town this weekend and Game Crazy sold my pre-order!!! They should be getting more in today so I will get to try tonight:)
20you should put on a polar heart rate watch on so you can track just how many calories you burn! i always use mine but don't have the wii fit
21I love my Wii Fit and I just got it on Monday! It's the best fitness program I've ever used. It makes exercise fun and easy and it goes by pretty quick.
I know it's effective because I was grumpy after work and I took a detour on my way home to use the Wii Fit (currently residing at my BF's house). After 20 good minutes in the Fit Bank I was more cheerful and my balance had already improved since the first time I used it. I even worked up quite a sweat!
Something so fun that it makes me go out of my way to exercise is worth every penny!
22Geek and everyone else, my boyfriend and I have both noticed a small problem with our Wii Fit/Balance Board. It seems to put us 5-7 lbs over our scale at home (not including the -2 lbs from the clothing adjustment). We have checked it both with the extra feet on and off. Is anyone else having this issue? I don't care that much as long as it is consistent, but it does make me wonder about its accuracy.
23The game sounds amazing, and would seem like something fun to pair with Wii Play and Wii Sports... but I'm curious about one aspect. What if you don't want to lose weight and already have a good BMI? I'd love to get some tone... would any of you consider this good for that?
24ehadams - what type of flooring are you putting it on? Mine is on a yoga mat on super thick carpet and it consistently weighs 3lbs more, but when we put it on the tile to test, it was accurate.
I guess as long as you keep it on the same floor it will be most consistent.
25I bought a wii fit this weekend and love love love it. I have never been so motivated before. The Yoge is good, but I wasn't expecting to get a workout from hula hoop. I'm also enjoying the running and I don't particularly care for running. The record keeping is very helpful. My husband is a runner and is able to keep track on the wii. Very pleased with my purchase.
26Ehadams, you got great advice about the flooring that's important to consider. Also are you sure your scale is correct, you know how your scale at home always tends to weigh you less than the Dr.'s office. I know someone who was weighing in a lot less on the Wii come to find out they didn't have their feet placed properly in the squares.
P.S. My fav game is the stepping one and MAN that hula hoop does kill. I've gotten over 800spins in super hula hoop so far...tiring.
I'm just looking forward to all the other great games that are going to come out of this!!!

28I love the Wii Fit! To be completely honest, I would rather be at home playing video games than hitting the gym, and this is a great way to get me to move!
29I love advanced step and ski jump. I am still trying to perfect my jumps. I'm so awful at the soccor goal keeping game. Anyone else awful at it?
30Since I started to play Wii Fit I have put on 2 pounds. Many people think that is probably a bad thing, but no I haven't gained any fat, just muscle from doing loads of yoga. I used to do yoga everyday, but then college got in the way. Now I have only missed one day of yoga. I want a game that is nothing but yoga because I am addicted to it again.
31I actually went to my soon to be in-laws and they had a WiiFit. I'm so glad I tried it. I did 30 minutes, and it said what I thought it would to start. I was glad that it helped me figure out what to do to put on weight.. so I technically answered my own question. ^-^'' This is just to inform others who may be curious.
32i haven't got one yet, but reading all these reports makes me excited to buy one soon!
33Did you guys know it connects up to Wii sports to??
34Today will be day 20 for me on my wii fit. I have lost about 6 lbs thus far and I totally enjoy it. I love the advanced step and the advanced hula hoop. I ran the Island Lap today, and let me tell you, that's a workout! It's fun because I have 3 teenagers and they love to try and beat my records...
