Just when I hardly hear anything for months about the One Laptop Per Child project, Microsoft decides to team up with OLPC to add Windows XP to the XO laptops. Machines running Windows will be available by August or September, with some machines available as early as next month. XO laptop users will also have the ability to host both Windows and Linux operating systems on their machines. Even with OLPC's director of security architecture Ivan Krstic resigning earlier this year, the company may make a big comeback with this latest addition. To see the XO laptop in action with Windows, check out the video below.

I'm glad they are putting XP and not Vista on!! Vista SUCKS, it woulnd't be helpful at all.
1I'm surprised they aren't forcing the Vista on them. How very un-Microsoft of them
2Ivan Krstić - this is Croatian name
Yeeee more of us at important places.
3I wish more children would opt for Linux, but then again - games
I am happy Microsoft is donating to this campaign. I wonder if this is the doing of the Gates Foundation? I love Microsoft, and I was surprised they didn't do this sooner.
They have quite a few games for OLPC machines - and they are looking for people to create games and donate to it.
4No, No, No!! This is all wrong. The whole point of the OLPC is to have open-source software like Linux and Python. Just like Microsoft to corrupt something like the OLPC. Sad!!!
5HipMom-How completely UNhip to endorse an old(er) OS like XP...stay hip and give Vista, just like peace, a chance.
