i was never really a fan of john mayer but after reading so many stories on how he got his apple fixed when he can totally afford to buy a new one unlike the rest of us and he continues to get things early and probably free I care for the guy even less.

I enjoy a celebrity that doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm not really a fan of his music, but I do like him. Celebrities get things free all the time as it is a really cheap way to get fantastic exposure and press. I'm pretty sure if I could get a free computer because people cared what I used, I wouldn't turn it down.

He got an Air pre-release too! My bb is dying and I'm holding out a bit longer for Bold. I can't type on an iphone to save my life. I'm a one handed typist.

He is hooked up. He got the BB Curve, Macbook Air and the BB Bold before anyone else. That is pretty sweet!

His blog is in my Google Reader. I enjoy his music and some of his posts make me chuckle.

I don't get it- why is quasimodo such a celeb?

I totally heart John Mayer, and I love that he's an Apple guy. (What's wrong with getting something fixed instead of getting a new one? Particularly if you have lots of stuff stored, or just like what you have.)

Like someone else said, celebs get stuff like this all the time. It's a perk. And here we are talking about the new BlackBerry before it's release. I think that's smart marketing.

John Mayer is famous because he's a singer/songwriter who's sold tons of albums whether you like his sound or not. I personally despise Good Charlotte but I acknowledge they have many fans and are considered talented by others. It's art. Totally subjective.
