Since I'm on an Ikea kick with the Benno faux-mount TV stand, I thought I'd bring you another useful piece of home tech.
The Mikael desk would fit right into my place — I still love the convenience of my Dave stand, but sometimes I really get more done sitting at a desk.
And though the pic shows how great the Mikael is for a desktop computer, I'd use it for my laptop, and totally increase the usefulness — when I'm not laptopping, I can do my bills there or use it for my sewing machine!
And seriously — 40 bucks?! Great for a small apartment, dorm, or small budget. In red, birch, pink, blue, white, and dark brown.

Not fond of it - I can see it in a dorm room or something, though.
1They make some nicely priced furniture, just for what you need instead of wasting hundreds of dollars.
2My daughter has this desk, in a bright, happy chrome yellow. I actually like the fact that it doesn't have a lot of work surface; it keeps her from piling too much stuff on it!
3In England this come in a gorgeous turquoise and as Lainetm says the bright yellow, which really looks fantastic. Really really good value and I used to have two monitors on mine and there was still loads of room. If you do buy a small tip, be careful of which way round you put the base as you cannot get it off again, my computer now has to sit on the left for eternity (I cannot get my head round flatpack furntiure)
4i don't care for the particleboard-ness of it, but love the vivid colour choices! also, the size is rather convenient for smaller spots.
5I have this desk in white! Love it.
6I have the plain desk with the full add-on (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70111486) and absolutely love it! I have the CPU storage and the file cabinet as well -- and could not be any happier! I even have the glass top.
7nope. i like my desks to have room so i can do other things too, not just go on the computer
8I scored an awesome deal today on a wireframe shelf with wheels. It was about less than $30 US. It's great for the computer because the wireframe-ness of it makes it easier for the heat to disperse. And I can adjust the height of each shelf, too, unlike these particle board things from Ikea. I can just lay a piece of board on it, and viola! Desk space!

14I liked this product review very much and is very useful for buyers in search of good and cheap accessories. You can find many such cheap accessories and cheap computers online in Europe very easily.
