As the anticipation for new cell phone platform Android grows, many cell phone makers are rumored to be the first one to introduce a phone with the Google operating system. T-Mobile is the latest, promising an Android phone by the end of 2008.
I certainly hope it comes sooner than that because I can't wait to try it out. As an iPhone girl, I can't complain much about its OS, and I have had experience both with RIM (BlackBerry) and Windows Mobile as far as smartphones go.
It's definitely time to see something new, but I'm not sure I'll drop my current phone for an Android phone. Will you?

Since I'm hoping to get an iPhone when the 3G phone comes out, I don't think I'll be buying another phone so quickly unless the iPhone disappoints, so maybe after the iPhone I'd entertain android, but not for at least 3 yrs.
1I don't have an iphone and don't plan to get one b/c I refuse to switch to AT&T. I do however have T-mobile so I might check out their Android phone if it isn't too expensive and gets good reviews. My boyfriend is a programmer and cares A LOT about the open aspects of phones so I bet he will want one... if only to create programs for it.
2hell yeah
