This site is great fun. I kinda miss the the old candy colored iMacs. Just a little.
1i miss those things, too, calamari! but you know what i miss most?! the cute "happy mac" guy when you start up your computer. i hate that they got rid of the little fella.
hey...maybe we could get a "happy mac" smiley???
2Alright! Can't wait to look at it!
3I was so excited when I saw this post! I'll have to admit that the website left this reviewer luke warm
Mactracker is a fantastic free application for old machine info. They also have the startup chimes and death chimes for some of the machines. As much as I liked the Mac smiley I
think the sad Mac face has to be the cutest thing ever with it's little x'd out eyes (similar to the Sad iPod face). I guess not so cute if you were the recipient back in the day
4When I was a freshman (9 long years ago) I managed to scavenge an apple IIe from my mother's spring cleaning. We're talking black and green screen with FLOPPY floppy disks. I brought it back to college with me. All you could do was play lemonade stand and then 20 questions game where you could define the answer if the game couldn't guess (it was a basic logic function). The answers were suppose to be animals, but we cleared out all the answers and instead of animals we put in people we knew. It was quite hilarious.
