Researchers in London surveyed people to find out what it would take for them to give up their office network password, and nearly half of the women said they'd give it up for a bar of chocolate (the men? Just 10 percent said they would)!
I guess that giving up the office network password is a bit different than email and MySpace passwords, so I wonder who these ladies are — disloyal workers, or just hungry? But really: a chocolate bar?! Was it some crappy drugstore brand or some good German stuff? Um, I mean, for shame, password-giving-up ladies. For shame.

Giving up passwords for food. C'mon
1I guess it depends on who I'm giving the password to. If I was revealing it to the world, then no. But if it was just to close friends or my boyfriend, I'm sure that I would. What are they going to do with my password besides look up my facebook friends?
2I'm on a diet haha, I can't eat any chocolate!
3Luckily I don't like or eat chocolate. I'm sure I would give it up for a big piece of cake.
4Seriously...for chocolate? That's odd. Maybe for $100.
5Nope. Chocolate is not worth getting fired over.
6No way! My passwords at work provide access to thousands of credit card numbers. That would be a huge security risk, and I have no doubt that I would be fired immediately...
7Wait, did you say chocolate....
Something else: I would give up my personal passwords for something extreme like a brand new house or car or a chunk of change but I wouldn't give up my work passwords for anything. There is some serious info and files that I wouldn't want coming back to haunt me.
8The only "password" we have for work is our wifi password, and I wouldn't give that out for anything. We are one of the coveted few labs with wireless and I have friends in other labs always asking but the more people on it, the more our wireless slows down... so I won't give it out to anyone. More speed for me!
9I would never give my password for anything!!!
10These ladies are totally insane!!!
I really dislike chocolate, from the way it smells to the texture. Even if I was offered something else, I would *never* give up my passwords. Those women that were surveyed are out of their gourds.
11I'm really protective of my passwords, so it'd be pretty hard to convince me to give it up.
12It depends on what the password was for. If it was for one of the many e-mail addresses I only use for junk mail then heck yeah. If the password was to my sacred gmail account then HECK NAW!
13You could totally give them a fake password and then run off with the chocolate!
14No way!
15I don't believe this! lol CHOCOLATE?! I love chocolate but I can always run out and buy a bar myself if I'm tempted. I protect my passwords with my life.
16A bar of chocolate for a password? No, but if an attractive colleague flashed me, that might do it.
17Who in their right mind would do this? Giving your password is literally suicide in these times, when anything about you can be found online.
18I would never... I can keep my password and just go buy a piece at the market. Simple as that.
19And I talk to strangers for free candy too.
come onnnnn.
