Texting Improves the Parent-Teen Relationship

We all know that typing text messages while driving can be a killer combo, especially for teens, but did you know that text messaging has actually improved relationships between parents and their teens? In a recent survey by Samsung Mobile, nearly seven in 10 American parents communicate with their kids by text message and more than half of teens think their relationship with their parents has improved because of text messaging.     My mom and my 16 yr. old brother text each other if either of them needs to get a message out while he's in school. I think it makes him think she's cooler.

    my mom LOVES texting me and my sister. it's funny, because my dad had to buy us texting packages as a result.

    my mom is a texting freak now! im in my mid-twenties, but it definitely helps her with my sister who is a freshman in college, its a lot easier than trying to get her on the phone!

    My mom, who is not tech savvy, bought an iPhone and discovered the joys of texting. It's still kinda weird to get texts from my mom...
