Two things I don't like about Pottery Barn's Smart Tech Line: the traditional looks and the prices. With the addition of the Bento Smart Storage charging station, though, they've solved one problem! The modern, clean lines and simple colors (cobalt and white) would fit so seamlessly on my dresser and blend in with my jewelry boxes that it would solve that pesky "where do I put it?" dilemma I brought up yesterday. But for $100, it's also inspiring me to get out a little handsaw and a jewelry box and get DIYin'. How do you like it?

Hides clutter ! What is not to love!
1I think its nice, but still a lot of money for a box you shove cords into.
2I like it but it's not worth it for the price! I would just buy a pretty jewelry box and get to DIYin like you said Geek!
3I think it is too big.
4It looks like it takes up a lot of room. Cords don't need that much room do they? The idea is nice I guess, but living in the city, I really don't have an inch of room to spare in my small apartment.
5I does hide the messy cables but for $100 it isn't worth it.
6this is so great, i really want it but its too expensive
7Ugh!
8Why is it so big? Maybe there's lots of room for cords underneath or something, but it looks like it could be a few inches shorter...
And WHY is it called a 'bento box' charging station -- it looks NOTHING like any bento box (inside or out) that I've seen.
Whew -- I'm crabby today, sorry guys!
nice for decor and storage but not worth the cash. you can craft your own and come out better.
9It doesn't really look like a bento box, so I don't know why they call it that.
But it's still cute - I'd like one (for a little bit less).
10I think the extra ports are pointless. I also think it needs 2-3 more standard plugs to be useful to me. With that size, I should be able to fit a powersquid up under there.
11Love it!!
12It's pretty and all, but $100? Leave it! But DIY-ing is a good idea.
13I think there was instructions for a DIY version of this in one of the first few issues of Blueprint.
14I think it's a great concept....but what if you've got your phone charging & someone calls you? Could be pretty annoying (especially if you're like my husband & the phone goes on the charger almost the minute he walks through the door)
15I like the concept but my main complaint with Pottery Barn is their prices. Like you said, $100 for a lacquered wooden box? C'mon.
