Sorry, but I just had to channel Carrie Bradshaw for this. Lauren Merkin's patent leather Taylor laptop bag is probably the first laptop bag I like more than most luxury handbags.
In fact, it has me all googly-eyed, mushy-headed, and my heart beating super fast — the classic physiological signs of being in love.
The price hurts ($325), but I am seriously considering blowing my tax return on this. Does this bag make you as irrational as it does me?

I don't like this as a laptop bag. Doesn't look like it belongs to a professional. When looking for laptop bags I look for something that's stylish yet not too flashy (shiny in this case). Since the I.T. industry is made up of mainly men, this sends off the message that this girl is more into fashion than into I.T.
It's amazing as a luxury handbag tough.
1Babby, I definitely understand what you mean by that...but seriously...eff what guys think! I have a pink laptop case and I work at V.S. and I'm girlie and fashionable, and I'm just as much of a threat as any guy...and probably more. You don't have to sacrifice your personal style just because some chauvenistic tool has something to say about your handbag...I bet we all have something to say about the I.T. with the coke bottled 80's glasses and the ketchup stain on his shirt.
Boys...no competition for girls....we can handle them in style.
2I agree, it does look too shiny to be professional. And I don't like that it's so... square, literally.
3Uhhh...FREAKIN LOVE IT! I don't know if I've ever seen a laptop bag so worthy to be on my arm! Black patent can definitely be professional, it's all about how you wear it. That's my two cents anyway!
xoxo
4I really could care less what people precieve me as.
5If I like it, then I will sport it.
6God I love it.. if i had alaptop I'd love it even better...
7BTW I also think that girls don't have to trhow avay their style only bcuz they are working/studying in IT. IT is cool and so is fashion.
Oh yea and just to say so geek boys like geek girls who are fashionable! Peace!
I actually just ordered the Lauren Merkin Emma tote...which I totally plan on slipping my mac into. LOVE IT, and all of her stuff in general...if only my laptop would also fit into the Louise clutch I'm jonesing for...
8nice, but not my style
9It's cute, but I don't like it nearly as much as this one: http://www.ginabinternational.com/bella-black.html I just spent a month looking for a stylish and mature laptop bag -- I'm a computer game professional suddenly working with a lot of very stylish people -- and believe me GinaB's bags are even more beautiful in person.
Any cute laptop bag is a good thing in my book, but be prepared to spend at least $200 for something nicer than a college co-ed would carry. If you're the type of person who cares what they look like *and* totes a laptop back and forth to work, $300 for a bag you'll use every day probably isn't completely out of the question.
10I should rephrase and say that this is not the style I feel professional in.
ladychaos if I worked at V.S. I definitely would feel comfortable in a pink bag. But at a software company with 95% males and aiming to get promotions... I just feel awkward because I believe that all the little details count to how seriously I'm taken.
11I LOVE it, but it's too trendy. I don't know how long I'd be able to wear it.
12Love it!
13I'd love it if it was plain leather. I'm pretty much over patent.
14I'm such a fab sugar + geek sugar and this is so chic!!!
15LOVVVVVEEESSSSS IT! Keep em coming Fab!
16I start a new job in two months and I am definitely buying this!!!!
