Seeing Elle MacPherson at the Apple Store yesterday, dressed cute to shop, makes me think of how much I love to go gadget shopping. From walking around and playing with a potential new piece of tech, to the moment you get it home and unbox it — it's as fun to me as carrying home a new pair of shoes. It helps that the setup of say, the Apple store, is inviting and has great customer service (all they need to do is add a coffee shop in there and I've got a nice little Saturday planned).
Of course, I love all kinds of shopping, so maybe I'm a poor representative. . .so what do you think? Is retail therapy the same, no matter what you're buying?

I love gadgets, but I enjoy actually using the gadget more than shopping for it. With clothes, bags and shoes I enjoy shopping for them just as much as I do actually wearing them.
1Gadget shopping wins hands down. It always fits.
2Gadget shopping is even more rewarding because how many times can you wear that new outfit? With gadgets you really get your monies worth because you can use it everyday, all day, and all night if you want!

6I picked the wrong one. I picked the "I like it the same" option, but I really like it less. I like getting home with them all the same, but shopping for gadgets is much less exciting. I have to read all of the reviews online, consult friends and professionals, weight all my options, then find the best price (unless it's something there's only 1 of, like the iPhone). Then I just go get it. Shopping for clothing and accessories, and house items is much more tactile and exciting to see what all is there. When I go into a tech store, I know what's there.
7I think there's more of a thrill with gadget shopping as you don't get to do it as often. You can buy shoes everyday, how often do you get to go out and buy the hottest gadget?
8Gadgets always fit and they go with everything. They're the perfect accessories. And there's no hours and hours of trying on stuff only to look ugly in everything... Although, when it comes to gadget, there's months and months of foaming at the mouth in anticipation of a new gadget coming out... waiting anxiously for the latest review or handson... But that's EXCITING! Like 2~3 months of constantly being turned on and then reaching the climax of getting that hot new gadget you've been falling in love with for the past few months. Maybe I more geeky than I let myself believe.

10Gadget shopping and clothes shopping go hand in hand. Both are tons of fun. Love them both.

15I love shopping in general, but whe i go gadget shopping I usually do a little research first,like price and how lo the battery last etc, but I go clothe shopping I just but what I like...

17As long as I can truly afford whatever I'm buying (in other words, no looming debt), then I love gadget shopping as much as any other shopping. Even grocery shopping is fun for me. I am truly a shopaholic.
18while i love both, i can't exactly go gadget shopping just because i had a bad day , i dont have the money or time to do that [gadget shopping requires a bit more research and a lot more money] - on bad days i go book / makeup / apparel shopping
i buy gadgets mostly as
rewards (promotion/end of project /graduation) or out of need (mobile phone / laptop death).
19i love gadget shopping and shopping for video games much more than clothing - while i care if my clothes are fair trade/non sweatshop made and preferably locally made and/or organic/sustainable, and i don't go shoe shopping since i am vegan and have to do so online, i know electronics are made in China, basically and there isn't much i can do about it...so this is the type of shopping i do mostly!

21I find gadget shopping a bit better, although I love shopping for anything.. You know, the thrill of looking everywhere for the best deals then finally buying it with no hesitations and then opening the gadget(especially if it's an Apple product..) and taking it out for the first time, I lvoe it!
22I always find time to hit an electronics store and I can waste hours perusing online. Shopping is shopping!
