This month's Wired brings you their take on the geek hierarchy — remember when we surmised that there were many different types of geekdom? Well, Wired agrees, and they've offered up six types of geek: The Fanboy (classic Star Wars/Simpsons lover and defender), the Music Geek (think Rob Gordon from High Fidelity), the Gamer (your thumbs are always sore), The Gadget Guy (3G + iPhone = drool), the Hacker (fears the sun), and the Otaku (all Manga, all the time).
Do you fall into any of the categories, or are you a different kind — or a hybrid geek?

webdesign/programming..etc? I'm that, whatever that is.
I will openly admit to being a fangirl (although not much of a fan for the things mentioned in the article), a gamer girl (although I don't play nearly as many video games as I used to, alas, the death of my gaming rig *sheads a tear*), and a gadget girl (I only bought the iphone because it was that or my fiance leaves me *only slight sarcasm here*). oh and I'm a closet otaku but that's only because I was born there, love the language and culture, and believe everything japanese is somehow inherently better. hahahaha.
