In the May issue of Elle, Madonna discusses life, love, and her close relationship with her beloved BlackBerry! How close you ask? The Queen of Pop admits that her and her husband Guy Ritchie love their BlackBerry's so much that they to sleep with them under their pillows!
She says: "It’s not unromantic. It’s practical. I’m sure loads of couples have their BlackBerry's in bed with them. I have to sleep with my BlackBerry because I often wake up in the middle of the night and remember that I’ve forgotten something, so I jump up and make notes." And adds "Guy’s always waiting for me to come to bed, so he plays Brick Breaker on his BlackBerry until I’m ready."
So cute! Considering she's so tech obsessed — it's no wonder her new album Hard Candy will be hitting cell phones before stores!

I sleep with my iPhone because I use it to help me fall asleep (reading, watching podcasts, etc) and I need it around in case someone calls.
1Sleeping with a cell phone seems a little excessive to me, but to each their own. *shrugs*
2I keep my cell within reach when I sleep, but I'm a bit concerned about overly long exposure to radiation, so I wouldn't have it actually in bed with me... besides, I don't want to risk breaking it in my sleep.
3If I expect something I keep my cell within reach, but otherwise umm nah... I have gone through stages where I'd keep it beside the bed, but it really does distrub my sleep
4I always sleep with my cell phone, so that way if someone calls or txt me, I don't have to get out of the bed..
5I sleep with my Blackberry next to the bed on my nightstand. But, once my daughter gets home I turn it off.
6I dont find anything wrong with that ....I sleep with my cell phone in bed ...its just convenient that way ...besides there could be an emergency ...
7Though Im concerned about the radiation bit.
8Wow. I am sorry but people who sleep with their cell phones need a fricken reality check. Hardcore.
9i've probably always slept with my cell phone. and now my blackberry is either always under my pillow or under my bfs pillow.
10i have nomo-phobia.
11I sleep with my iPod & my Nintendo DS. My iPod sings me to sleep (and I use it to read eBooks before bed), and I use my DS as an alarm clock.
*sigh* I think I'd give a limb for a BlackBerry.
I'd love to be able to take notes when I wake up in the middle of the night. I could text-type them on my little candybar cellphone, but I let my mother borrow it and she lost my charger. Blah.
12chellybean - Why? Many famous authors and artists slept with notepads by their beds, or under their pillows, so that they could write down dreams, make notes when they woke up, etc. What is so wrong about using technology instead?
13I don't keep my phone in my bed with me, but I keep it on the side table. I listen to music to fall asleep, so yeah.
I think it's cool that she does that, though. As a writer I know that you never know when something will pop in your head!
14haha thats pretty funny
15I don't know. I don't find that weird at all. Both my boyfriend and I keep our Blackberries on our respective nightstands. Both get turned off when we go to sleep but we keep it there because we both love the alarms on them and both use it to wake up everymorning.
16Though I do admit when I get a bit of insomnia, I do turn it on and check/write emails.
Madonna? I think an alien has landed and taken over. The Madonna I love would say that she's too sex obsessed to have her phone in bed with her- it would inevitably get wet!
17i've always kept my phone in bed with me. in case of emergencies and i also use it as an alarm clock. because if i'm in too deep of a sleep and can't hear the music, then the vibration definitely helps
