Zelda, with Link risking his heinie for me all the time. Those two were truly the Brangelina of the 1980's video game scene. You know they'd have like four adopted kids and several on the way by now, right?!

For the longest time I thought Link was Zelda because I didn't play the game and couldn't understand how the main character wasn't named Zelda?!?! :geek:

6Wow, there's a lot of really great video game heroines that didn't make this list. Yuna from FFX? Kos-Mos from Xenosaga? The one chick from Perfect Dark (can't remember her name). And leaving Samus out is a tragedy.
